Now Integrated
For more than two decades, Mariamoh Ajiri Memorial International School has remained committed to one simple conviction: every child deserves an education built on discipline, integrity, and genuine academic excellence.
Where It Began
Katsina, Nigeria · 1998
Mariamoh Ajiri Memorial International School was born out of a simple conviction: that every child deserves an education built on discipline, integrity, and genuine academic excellence — not shortcuts.
The school was founded by Alhaji Tajudeen Babatunde Raji, who, after relocating to Katsina, recognized both the need for quality education in his new community and the opportunity to put his wife's training as a teacher to purposeful use.
What began as a personal decision soon grew into an institution. The school was registered on 26th January 1998 and officially opened its doors on 9th February 1998 with just nine pupils in the Nursery and Primary sections, one child in day care, three teachers, and a nanny.
The secondary school section followed in September 1999, marking the beginning of the school's expansion into a comprehensive educational institution.

A Name With Meaning
The name Mariamoh Ajiri honors the founder's mother, a woman who, though she never had the opportunity for formal education herself, believed in it so deeply that she dedicated herself to ensuring her own children received the best schooling available.
The school carries her name as a tribute to that belief — and as a promise to every family who entrusts their child's education to us.
Since the passing of Alhaji Tajudeen Babatunde Raji, the school has continued to grow under the leadership of the proprietress, Hajia Fauziat Taiwo Raji, who has upheld his vision of discipline, merit, and zero tolerance for examination malpractice as the pillars of the institution.
From our earliest days, these principles have remained non-negotiable.
Zero tolerance for examination malpractice. Every result a student earns is one they can defend.
Discipline is a foundation for staff and students alike, because meaningful achievement requires it.
Teachers are hired through competitive interviews based on competence and merit, not connections.
We continuously invest in teachers through regular training and retraining to keep staff current and effective.
What began in Katsina has grown into a multi-campus institution serving students across several locations.

As Mariamoh Ajiri looks to the future, the focus remains where it has always been: building on a foundation of discipline, merit, and academic integrity, while continuing to expand access to quality education across Katsina State and beyond.
Everything we do is guided by a clear purpose: to provide an education that develops knowledge, character, discipline, confidence, and the skills required for an evolving world.
To be a leading center of academic and moral excellence, raising disciplined, confident, and capable young people who are equipped to succeed, not only within the classroom, but in every field and stage of life they go on to pursue.
As part of this vision, the school is embracing digitization across its operations and expanding into technical education through its newly established CBT center, training facility, and computing courses, preparing students for a future shaped by technology.
To provide quality, standards-driven education across Nursery, Primary, and Secondary levels, delivered with integrity and zero tolerance for examination malpractice, so that every certificate our students earn reflects real knowledge they can stand behind, anywhere, at any time.
Merit-based teachers: Recruiting and developing teachers on merit while investing continuously in their training.
Discipline and punctuality: Instilling discipline and punctuality as the foundation of everything we do.
Whole-child development: Supporting the full development of every child academically, morally, and socially.
Partnership with parents: Maintaining an honest and transparent relationship with parents and the wider community we serve.
